Michael Brymer is a Partner at the law firm of Massey, Stotser & Nichols, PC, where he has practiced since 2017, focusing primarily on corporate and transactional law, government/municipal law, and real estate matters. Michael draws on his extensive background as both a litigator and city attorney with the City of Montgomery to represent clients across a wide range of legal matters.
Prior to joining Massey, Stotser & Nichols, Michael served as a Deputy District Attorney for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit and as a staff attorney for the City of Montgomery, Alabama. He also clerked for the Honorable Sharon G. Yates, the Honorable Pamela R. Higgins, and the Honorable Jimmy B. Pool in Montgomery.
Michael earned his Juris Doctor from the Thomas G. Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama, in 2009, where he also completed a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution and served as an Associate Justice on the Honor Court. He was admitted to practice law in 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Auburn University, which he completed in 2005.
He is a graduate of the Leadership Montgomery Legacy Class 33, whose class service project included fundraising and exhibit enhancements for the Air Force Enlisted Heritage Hall at Gunter Air Force Base Annex.
Michael is originally from the Birmingham area and lives in Hoover with his wife, Kristin, and their two sons. Kristin works as the Director of International Admissions at UAB.
In 2023, after 22 seasons, Michael retired from officiating high school football, having worked four state championships and having officiated six years in NCAA Division II and III.
Michael and Kristin enjoy traveling with their boys. One of their favorite places to relax is anywhere with a beach. Michael and Kristin are active members of Bluff Park UMC, where he also serves on the church council.
