Mandy Dixon serves as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Trussville where she leads the City’s comprehensive human resources function, supports employees throughout every stage of the employment lifecycle, and partners with City leadership to build a workplace culture that enables excellent public service.
Mandy earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
Throughout her career in government, nonprofit, and private industry, Mandy has held leadership roles in finance, operations, and human resources. While her responsibilities often encompassed multiple disciplines, people have always been at the center of her leadership. She has consistently found the greatest fulfillment in developing employees, building strong teams, and creating workplaces where people can thrive. In March 2020, Mandy joined the City of Trussville in a role that combines her passion for developing people and strengthening organizational culture with the opportunity to serve the community that played such an important role in shaping her values.
Mandy and her husband, Daniel, have two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her boys in basketball, baseball, and golf. When she’s not at a sporting event, you’ll likely find her cooking, reading, or spending time with family and friends.
