Jef Freeman

Board Member

Jef is active in his community and is a member of the First United Methodist Church, a past president and active member of Trussville Daybreak Rotary Club, chaired the Trussville Redevelopment Authority (2011 – 2016), former member of the Trussville Planning and Zoning Board (2016-2020) and the Jefferson County Zoning Adjustment Board.  He served from 2016 to 2020 on the Trussville City Council and was the council liaison to the Board of Education, Design Review Board and the Inspections Department.

Jef started his professional career in the financial industry in 1972 working part time while attending UAB.  Over the next several years he held several positions in banking and in 1982 joined the investment division where he assisted in managing the bank’s bond portfolio. He has remained in the financial services industry since that time and is currently in the Private Client Group of Raymond James Financial.

He and his wife, Regina, have lived in Trussville since 1992.  They have 3 married adult children (all HTHS graduates) and 5 granddaughters ages 7, 5, 4, 2 and 1.  They enjoy outside activities including RV camping and spending time with family – especially the granddaughters!
