Alan served for 13 years as a Trussville City Councilor, where he served as liaison to the Chamber of Commerce, Public Safety, City Finance Committee, Leadership Trussville and Trussville Gas and Water. He spent 22 years with a manufacturing company and then nine years as President of Bryant Bank in Trussville, before leaving that position in 2016 to become the Business Administrator at the First Baptist Church Trussville. He is a member and past President of Trussville Daybreak Rotary.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Baptist Foundation and the Finance and Insurance Committee for the Alabama Baptist State Convention. He has served in the past as Board President of the Trussville City Schools Foundation, past Board President of the Trussville Athletic Foundation, and past Board President of the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in finance, Alan is married to his wife Yolanda for 42 years. They have two married daughters and seven grandchildren.
