Alan is in his 3rd term as Trussville City Councilor, where he serves as liaison to the Chamber of Commerce, Public Safety, and Trussville Gas and Water. He also serves on the City’s Finance Committee.  He spent 22 years with a manufacturing company and then nine years as President of Bryant Bank in Trussville, before leaving that position in 2016 to become the Business Administrator at the First Baptist Church Trussville. He is a member and past President of Trussville Daybreak Rotary and on the Advisory Board of the Central Alabama Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Baptist Foundation and the Pathways Division of the Alabama Baptist Children’s Home. He has served in the past as Board President of the Trussville City Schools Foundation, past Board President of the Trussville Athletic Foundation, and past Board President of the Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce. A graduate of Auburn University with a degree in finance, Alan is married to his wife Yolanda for 38 years. They have two married daughters and five grandchildren.
